Cabaret

Cabaret

May 1-11, 2025

In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920's draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee's bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous life of Berlin's natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.

About Us

Old Courthouse Theatre was founded in 1976 and originally performed in the historic Cabarrus County Courthouse in downtown Concord. We are the area's only all volunteer community theatre, and we are always in need of more help.
Please contact us to let us know if you can volunteer.

Each season consists of 5 plays, that typically run over the course of 2 weekends. We are located in the heart of Concord's historic districts and downtown's restaurants and shops. We encourage our patrons to head downtown for a meal before a show or drinks after.

Old Courthouse Theatre, Inc. is a proud member of the Metrolina Theatre Association.

Overflow Parking for All Productions

With the closure of Coltrane-Webb Elementary School, the overflow parking lot is no longer available to us. If you are able please consider parking at the municipal parking deck at 28 Cabarrus Avenue. It is a 3-to-5-minute walk to the theatre. A map is provided below.
