In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids--probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem - and the fun - when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on!

​This delightful comedy is adapted from the best-selling Young Adult book, and has become a holiday staple for groups across the United States! Features plenty of great roles for children and adults, a few favorite Christmas Carols, and a lot of laughs!

Jonathan M. Ewart's involvement with theatre in Cabarrus County goes all the way back to Cabarrus Youth Theatre offered through the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department. He appeared in his first production at Old Courthouse Theatre in the 1987 production of "Peter Pan", and has been involved with almost every aspect at OCT ever since. Jonathan started the "Living Room Reading Series" in 2009, and was awarded the Mary Snead Boger Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. In addition to directing at OCT, Jonathan has also directed productions in Mooresville and Charlotte. He just returned from New York City, studying at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Several of his favorite productions include: "Disaster!", "Benedictions", and " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas".

Jonathan is happily stepping back into the world of the Herdmans again. He was a cast member of OCT's 1989 and 2005 productions and directed the most recent production at OCT.
